FRANKE PREVITE, Songwriter
A prolific and much awarded songwriter, Franke Previte is an Academy Award recipient for; Best original song “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life”, created for the 1987, classic movie Dirty Dancing.
The song also netted him a Golden Globe a Grammy nominations, and to top off a great year, ASCAP song of the year, which proudly setting as ASCAP’s Top 15 song of all time.
He founded the band Franke & The Knockouts, and wrote Eric Carmen’s hit “Hungry Eyes.”
Previte was also chosen as one of America’s top 22 song writes to represent the United States on an Historic musical summit in Russia called; “Music Speaks Louder Than Words” with 22 Russian and Estonian songwriters. This Summit is where the song “One World” was created.
Franke actively raises money for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, honoring his late friend Patrick Swayze.
