Bio – Scott Mayo

SCOTT MAYO, Saxophone

Versatility as a player, singer, musician, arranger and record producer has found Scott Mayo playing sax, clarinet and flute in the house band of Dancing with the Stars, also performing on The Voice, Primetime Emmy Awards, The Tonight Show, and American Idol.

He’s played with Dr. Dre, Pitbull, Bruno Mars, Ne-Yo, Sting, and Beyonce, to name a few; and has written songs for many children’s TV shows.

Scott is Musical Director for the Brazilian jazz legend Sergio Mendes and was musical arranger for Mendes’ Hollywood Bowl appearance.

He’s received a producer/Best R&B album Grammy nomination for Oleta Adams; and another for Gerald Wilson’s “Romance,” and is best known for touring with Earth Wind & Fire for 6 years.
