SERGEI MANOUKYAN, Composer (and sings on “One World”)
Jazz vocalist, musician, singer and composer Sergei Manoukyan grew up in Grozny, Chechen Republic, first playing in a professional orchestra, then moved to Gorki to join Alexander Shishkin’s quartet on drums and vocals.
A Polish talent show brought him into the world spotlight, and he performed at major jazz festivals including in Riga, Leningrad, Kuibishev, and Novosibirsk.
He joined the Avicenna jazz rock group in Tallin, Estonia, then moved to Moscow to work with the Anatoly Kroll Big Band. He founded the “Foundation of Jazz Art Development,” and has recorded several albums.
He performs with artist friends across Russia.
